We had a great day at the Royal Windsor Horse Show!

A special blog, written for HB&L RDA by Anna Lawson (aged 9, who came to support her sister Eloise)
On Friday 15th May 2026 we went to the Royal Windsor Horse show to compete in the RDA South East Fancy Dress competition and managed to come 3rd with a rosette! The theme was ‘Space’ and we went dressed up as Thunderbirds.
Our wonderful horses, Bonnie and Alfie, were amazing throughout the day and were dressed up as Thunderbird rockets. Eloise and Theo were fantastic at riding them and were great at waving to the audience and chatting to the judges.
Top highlights of the day included:
- Jo’s amazing work with the outfits and particularly the eyebrows
- The leaders Jonathan (JC) and Murphy looked the part and made sure the horses were at their best
- Sheri looked fabulous dressing up as Lady Penelope
- The rest of the side walkers dressed up as the rest of the Thunderbirds crew and were brilliant too
We had a fantastic day and we were thankful that we could ride there this year. Thank you to everyone who took part in it and came to the show.
