Horsley and Bookham Riding for the Disabled are looking for volunteers to join our group, supporting our fundraising administration and marketing materials.
Everyone associated with our RDA is a volunteer, giving up their time to undertake a variety of activities and we currently have three very specific roles.
Community fundraising volunteer
Could you use your natural enthusiasm and local knowledge and join our group to promote our RDA in the local community? This could involve placing and changing collection pots, organising a rota of volunteers for a high street cash collection, running a stall at an event, speaking on behalf of the RDA to potential supporters, attending cheque presentations or putting up posters. You would have the opportunity to organise events and engage your community in supporting us.
Expected to be a few hours a month, at your convenience you will be given all the materials and guidance you will need and support from the Trustees to help raise funds and awareness around Horlsey and Bookham.
We are looking for someone with their own car, who is happy to be out and about in the local community representing our special charity.
Funding proposal writing volunteer
Have you got experience in writing applications or creative funding proposals? We are looking for a volunteer to help us work through a research list of local community groups, trusts, foundations and companies who offer community funding schemes.
Expected to be a few hours a month, at your convenience you will be given all the funding requirements of the group and guidance you will need and support from the Trustees to help put together funding requests for funding our ponies, tack and specialist equipment needed.
We are looking for someone with good IT skills in word, excel and powerpoint with access to a computer and the internet for sending off funding proposals.
Graphic design volunteer
Our RDA is looking for someone with graphic design skills to help us create new and exciting fundraising and awareness building materials such as information leaflets, banners and templates.
Expected to be a few hours a month, at your convenience you will be given examples of items already created in our brand/style.
We are looking for someone with graphic design skills and access to required IT/design packages to create the materials.
For further information or to apply to be a volunteer please email Louise at horlseyandbookhamrda@hotmail.co.uk
