2019 was a busy year for the Bookham Bowls Club captains. Richard and Shirley picked Horsley and Bookham RDA as their charity to raise for during their year of captaincy, and what a year they had!
A variety of fundraising activities took place, from The Captain's Funday to 'fines' for the wrong coloured trousers or bowling a wrong bias throughout the season, raising a fantastic £1,176. "This year's charity has been well supported by the members, at our Charity Fun Day, sponsoring ponies and donating to the collecting boxes." Shirley, Ladies Captain. Thank you to Richard, Shirley and the members of the Bookham Bowls Club, whose funds mean we have been able to provide 56 lessons.
